Dr. Jonathan Howard attended Vassar College and the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He is currently the Chief of Neurology at Bellevue Hospital in New York City an associate professor of neurology and psychiatry at NYU Langone Health, where he directs the student clerkship in neurology.
Dr. Howard has authored several textbooks on neurology and is the author of Cognitive Errors and Diagnostic Mistakes: A Case-Based Guide to Critical Thinking in Medicine. Dr. Howard has been interested in vaccines and the anti-vaccine movement long before the pandemic, and prior to the pandemic he co-authored a book chapter titled The Anti-Vaccine Movement: A Litany of Fallacy and Errors. During the pandemic, he has been writing about the normalization of the anti-vaccine movement in mainstream medicine at Science Based Medicine. He has co-authored papers on neurological outcomes in COVID patients and vaccination in patients with multiple sclerosis.
